Sexist rant of the day...

I'd like to say a few words about something which has been bugging me for a while... Improperly applied fake tan.

The emergence of fake tan as an essential stage in most girl's preparation ritual for any night out, and especially important occasions, has brought upon us a new phenomenon: Manky Tan Hands.

I'm sure you girls know what I'm talking about, you put on your fake tan, wash your hands afterwards, only to wake up the next morning and find that you missed some bits, and you have those really dark, dirty patches in between your fingers. This, my friends, is Manky Tan Hands. It can also occur on feet, but this is known as Manky Tan Feet, and so on, concerning just about any body part.

Don't get me wrong, I've got nothing against fake tan, although overuse to oompa loompa proportions bugs me. I'm just campaigning for some proper application training, that's all.

  1. A salutary warning for us all my friend. As a tan applying partner I find it's all in the length of time you take to wash up afterwards. A good 20 minutes does me.
