Sex, bugs and rock & roll

As promised MW and I partook of Joe's Apartment over the weekend. I can guarantee you've never heard of it and, to the best of my knowledge, the only copy of it in the country is the one I have on a dodgy VHS recorded almost a decade ago off Sky Movies (yes kids we used to do that kind of thing in the old days).

It starts like this

Yes, it's a comedy with musical numbers in it... performed by cockroaches that talk.

Anything that has singing and swimming cockroaches pastiching old Esther Williams movies in a filthy toilet will live through the ages for me. If you think you can stomach it there are more best bits

It is just as good and as it sounds but no, you can't borrow my copy. It's worth more than life itself.

  1. Huh, this totally rings a bell, though I can't remember why! Have you read the Fat Freddy comics?

  2. I totally remember this when it came out. I think it was the first movie that MTV made. I want to say Jerry O'Connell is in it?

  3. I remember this too - the cucarachas sing dont they? Funny movie if you can get over the squeamish buggy aspect, which I can just about!!

  6. Jesus, someone else has seen it! Although was it your hubby who showed it to you? That actually may have been my copy too.

  7. Um... You do know that you can get it on DVD don't you? It's based on a short film (ie about 5 mins long) originally made for MTV US.

  8. We don't have a credit card so unless it's on sale in the shops we can't buy it...I'm sure it's on DVD somewhere though. We do everything through cash!
