The most important thing about...

...having goals is having one (Abert F. Geoffrey)

I'm sorry if this has been covered already, had a quick scan and couldn't see it anywhere. Anyway I'm sure like me you've been bombarded with reviews of 2007 and previews to 2008 for the past couple of weeks. It seems to be the annual easy way out for every media producer and newspaper editor. Even noticed on Thursday that both RTE's radio stations were doing the exact same sports preview at the same time with different members of their sports department. At this stage we've probably all had a think about the things we're looking forward to over the next 12months. What we expect our highlights to be, the dates already in the diary that we're living for.

For me....

Springsteen & The E Street Band Live in May (am aiming for 5 gigs in 6 months)

The new Batman movie...........

And a bit of Indy along the way.......

There's also things I'm dreading, another Olympics shrouded in doping, Manchester United winning any form of silverware, pressure to buy a house, impeding hassle in work.

Have set myself a goal or two - have two work things on the burner, waiting for one to be green or red lighted so I can decide if I'm doing it or finishing my book.

Any offers of other goals or hopes?

  2. I'm with you on Batman and Indie, not so much Brucey. A friend of mine named his first born Bruce after the Boss.
