Dull hours at work. It's freezing cold in here and outside the sky is clear and 24 degrees already in the morning. I really really really don't want to be here.
Yesterday I went through all my old stuff from the last five years in this office. I'm a bit of a collector so felt good going through and throwing away a lot of rubbish like small notes and outdated documents. I'm preparing for my exit at the end of September and it feels great. I just wish I could find a way to make the end of September come faster.
Apart from tossing papers I spent hours surfing the great wave of the internet. My phone wouldn't charge properly so found a new one online that I'm looking forward to trying out whenever it's availble in the stores. Also found a new Swedish invention which looks interesting unless you are a Radio DJ, a jingle composer or anyone making money from the music industry. Gadgets! So much fun.
i go through my stuff every now and then, i don't know how i manage to collect so much crap in such little time!!!

It's a very fulfilling feeling getting rid of old junk. I am a hoarder too and once a year I have a heartless clean up. I never miss what I throw out despite having saved it "just in case".
ReplyDeleteI like the DJ extrapolator. Could come in handy.
But, but, but
ReplyDeletewhat if you become REALLY famous right, and you want your kids to be rich - surely your notes for Junior Cert science in second year, the free magazine you got back in 1992 and the wrapper from the first time you shared a chocolate bar with *that* person are going to be worth SO MUCH MONEY!! And you've just thrown it out?
Sheesh.
I heartily endorse this event or product.
ReplyDeleteThought it was a dirty invention....but thats just me. Good luck with chucking stuff away!
ReplyDeleteHope your last bit of time there goes by ok. See you in a few days
