Was walking down Stephen's Green yesterday when suddenly something distracted me from my thoughts and from walking. Took a minute to figure out it was a sound. Then it took a few minutes to figure out what the sound was.
It was a man walking behind me who was carrying a dry golf umbrella in his right hand and the sound was of the umbrella chafing against his suit.
I just think it's funny when a random distant sound grabs your attention among the whole spate of sounds that take place walking through the city centre with the people, cars, shops, etc.
