Really cool pictures of really tiny things

Nikon holds an annual Small World Contest looking for the best shots of incredibly small things. A lot of them this year are pretty amazing. The picture in this post is a 30x magnification of a spider's web. Click on the picture and you can see even more detail. Clumsy old me sure feels inadequate when I think of the trouble I have just feeding fishing wire into a hook.

I've always loved Ansel Adams' photos, since I found out about him in high school. For those of you who don't know, he's an American nature photographer, an icon in the west of the US for his pictures of Yosemite National Park.

So this is my favorite picture of his, and I'm posting it just because I like it. So nyah.
