Expanding My Horizons.....

It's the time of year to be thinking about Evening classes. In my day I've done dress making, typing and gardening. All very ordinary really. Not half as exciting as Regulatory Affairs in Asia or Astronomy. Anyone doing anything exotic? Anyone got any recommendations? MW has her "stitch and bitch" and even her jewellery making. What are you up to?

Evening classes kinda sound middle aged don't they? Ah well......is there an evening class for accepting your age?

  4. I'm doing the sock class with MW :-). Other than that, the dressmaking one sounds good (I've just gotten a sewing machine, and am addicted to the Craft Blog. MW and I were trying to figure out how to make there be a *decent* crafts show on tv :-). YouTube! Anyway, I did used to teach a class to OAPs...Introduction to Computers. It was *great*. I taught 80 year olds, and they were so nice.

  5. Yep Polka even has her yarn for the socks.....You should come to our group in Blackrock Ash, it's not too far from you is it? I know Boarders do one in the Starbucks in their store in Blanchardstown! I don't have much time, I just try to make the most of what I have! I'm gonna blog on my own blog ( at some point) about time management with the three kids, I do seem to do more now that I have three, maybe I was waiting for magic extra time before....now I just do it, kids and all generally!

  6. I went to art, aromatheraphy (v disturbing, I had to rub a pensioners feet with her tights on) I scalded my hands after that. and flower arranging (dont admit that often) and my favourite (because of the teacher not the exercise) was Yoga, and psychology, that teacher would have been a great cure for insomnia

  7. Au contraire, I went through my evening course stage in my very early twenties, can hardly remember it now. Did a communication course, can't remember anything about it.

  8. Did one, once, in computers. It was the early days before we had them all at home! A mate did stand-up comedy recently. Don't think they're for oldies at all Ash.
