The (cold) Body Shop

So Anita Roddick founder of the Body Shop dies aged 64.

Keith Richards, the human riff, the heart and soul of the Rolling Stones is still alive.

There is a god (and he has a warped sense of humour).

  1. Harsh. I've used their cocoa butter body scrub on many an occasion. Keith is just like Mr Burns in that episode where he has every illness ever heard of all at the same time so he's in perfect balance.

  2. I used to go as a dark teenager into the body shop on Henry street to buy the really lemony soap! It's a funny old business life and death, when your time comes it comes, no matter if you've smoked everything possible and drunk aviation fuel or you've lived on organic veg and excercise!

  3. This post makes me sad. I'm not sure living an ethically motivated life is contrast-able with living a dissolute, physically unhealthy one.

I don't know that Keith has contributed to the world any more negatively than Anita Roddick, other than perhaps a private jet carbon footprint.

She had had Hepatititis C, though I'm not sure that would lead to a brain haemmorage. I don't think there's ever been any suggestion that the good are rewarded in this life!

  4. Yeah I have to agree with jo.

The jist of the post makes me a little uneasy. Maybe I misunderstood?

  5. No Ash, I don't think you misunderstood, just that GB has a particularly unique view of the world :)
