101/1001

So I'm doing this thing.  It's called 101 Things in 1001 Days (commonly known as 101/1001).  It's a life challenge thing...I have to do these things in 1001 days, also known as 2.75 years.  When you put it like that, it's not too bad, right?

Some of this stuff is lightweight: contribute more to the PTA, but do less.  Keep the house clean.  Spend more time with the kids.

Some of it is more intense: finish the cookbook I'm working on, and get it published.  Learn Japanese. Have less expectations of perfection, and more of enjoyment.  Things like that.
Do we think I can do it?  Well, I've been doing it since the first of the year, and it's been quite fun.  Little things do make the bigger change (I think MW is one who gets that!)  I'm loving that I'm challenging myself.
Who knows.  Maybe I'll make the cookbook into a 49£ one.

And the picture?  It's from someone else's 101/1001 page :-).

  2. What a brilliant idea! What do you think will be the most difficult one to achieve Polka? Are there some you're scared to attempt?

  5. MW, I totally think that too! That's why your chorizo rice recipe is going in the cookbook!

Ash, I'm not really sure. I tried to make sure most are achievable, but I think the one about swimming year round in the sea might get me :-).

Tib, I don't really like beans (I have an irrational fear of them), but I will create one just for you! I'll let you know if you can help with any, that's really kind.

MW, again, just do it. Carpe diem baby!
