Postsecret is beautiful, a testament to people's creativity, frailty and strength. Be warned, though, it's both addictive, and depressing - I cry each time I visit!

Love it Jo. Have always wanted to have the balls to send one in, or the artistic talent.

ReplyDeleteThe book they did was excellent if somewhat disturbing
ReplyDeleteSoneone said they'd bought it and liked it but not wanted to keep it, too negative, I suppose - and apssed it on to a friend who felt the same.
ReplyDeleteIt's not entertainment, I guess!
It makes me fear childhood abuse and trauma round each corner, iykwIm - it's that sort of rawness and drama.
They opened it up to comments for a while didn't they? It was a disaster. People admitting to things, thinking they could say what they wanted and then having tonnes of people judge them. I think that's when I stopped reading it. I see that's gone now.
ReplyDeleteI thought they were great from the newspaper and bought the book as a present for someone but wasn't that impressed with it, they selected wrongly I think, and yes they can be too depressing. So i'm kind of over them now.
ReplyDeleteHow did I miss this - it's clearly all over!
ReplyDeleteI read it every week. It's interesting and sad at the same time that people keep so many disturbing secrets.
