Here's a weird one. Opened an old box of the Game Of Life I've had since I was a kid when I was playing with the kids the other night. What fluttered out of it? An ad slip for other games and things available at the time :)
Like, remember Bigtrak?
And Evel!
And... wait for it... wait for it...
The PACMAN BOARD GAME!
And Evel!
And... wait for it... wait for it...
The PACMAN BOARD GAME!

And how could I possibly forget this?!?!?!?
I wish I still lived in such a simple world.
Evel was the man.
ReplyDeleteNever had the pac man board game but Santy brought my brother a pac man computer game, the size of a box of corn flakes.
I was playing with a Simon somewhere recently - oh, crap, no, it was on the computer...
ReplyDeletegood fun though, still and all.
oh SL
ReplyDeletealso publishing from Carlow just thought i'd mention that.
I just love nostalgia! I STILL have most of my original "Star Wars" action figures from when I was a kid. I've kept them partly because they bring back lots of happy memories but also because I now appreciate the sacrifices my parents must of made to buy them. Growing up in the '80s money was often tight and there was a couple of Christmases when my dad was unemployed but my parents always made sure that Santa looked after my sister and I.
ReplyDeleteSimon says! Cannot be purchased in Sweden anymore - anyone seen it in stores? Honestly. We (and especially my dad(!)) loved it.
ReplyDeleteDolly - I'm sure you'll find online versions
