From Stats porn to Stationary porn

I share with our Overlord a love of not only statistics, but stationary. There's something very pretty and pristine about stationary. The bright colours, the difined edges; the juxta-positioning of wood and plastic; paper and metal. The organised geometrics of the material and the shop layouts. I love going into a shop and finding a stationary area, and oogling it for ages and maybe going away with a few fancy coloured pens.

Which leads me onto changing taste in browsing. I once loved to spend ages wandering around CD shops; then it was DVDs I loved to browse, then there's the stationary but I most love to browse book shops, which is probably something most people like to do but it's a fairly new thing for me. Photography books are my new favourite browse item.

  2. Me too! Oh, you'll love Muji, it's a mecca for stationary fanciers. My husband says the same. The colours, textures, shapes, neat little stacks of paper, good rubbers, the paints etc. Ohhh, love it love it. Imagine owning a stationary shop? Heaven!

  5. Muji? Milan, let's make a date to go in there one evening. I want to watch the steam come out of your ears when you walk in the door :)

Sometimes I think that's a universal thing. I went through my CD and DVD buying phase years ago and now it is stationary and books. Weird.
