Daily social consistent voyeurism I bow to you

It's not everyone's cup of tea, but it's big, it's on every day, it's newsworthy and really should have been the subject of our attention before now, so here I am to fill the gap.

The new Celebrity Hijack Big Brother has been very good, and even easier viewing, because you have two strands of entertainment, the housemates and the celebrities. While you build up getting to know the HMs, you can have the comfortable familiarity with the celebrities, and there's no schoolgirl intimidated bullying passed off as a worldwide racial hatred debacle.

Re housemates, Jeremy is my favourite. He's charming and you can't beat a good failed romance and he's in a one-way attention race with the sexy circus acrobat Emilia that's captivating to watch. She's just milking the attention and power and you can't blame her for that, we've all done it a million times.

Of the hijackers, it really brings out something new in the celebrities, Russell Brand, as ever, was sex-god-like, wooing the ladies, and hilarious - see clip. Kelly Osbourne was surprising excellent as a therapist. The All Saints women were funny in their champagne induced irresponsibility. And Malcolm McLaren was just very cool and ledgebag-like.

And then there's Dermot O'Leary, his last show is tomorrow night. My bi-annual half-hour daily Dermot fix has been a staple for the last 3 or 4 years and it will be tragically sad when he's not there anymore. He's so good at what he does on BB and I would even say that he's not as good on any other show. With Dermot, it's more of a love than lust thing, he's funny and cute and entertaining and makes me smile rather than flutter. BB just won't have the same interest for me and the replacement X-factor intros doesn't really fill the void. Ah well.
