short post 5: no-hand light-switch use

When my hands are full and I'm going upstairs or coming downstairs, I switch the light on/off with my lower lip. When it's dark I have to siddle my face along the wall until I reach the light switch. I think this is a particularly useful skill.

  1. I like to pick things up with my toes.

My hip is also useful for opening the baby gate.

I have not yet mastered siddling though :), but I've done the light switch thing too, but I'm afraid the moisture might get me electricuted - you know how you can see the blue flash sometimes...

  3. I use my foot for doors and switches. Not sure as of when to give that up. (I'm not getting any younger.)
Can imagine I'll eventually fall and break my hip or something.

  4. I can't let go of jothemama's comment. Where's the moisture coming from, I wonder. Hip? Nah. Foot? Maybe, but seems odd. Lips? Hm... ;)

  5. Are you suggesting I ooze, dolly?

IF you keep turning the switch with your foot everyday, you'll never need to stop. My friend's grandmother could still do headstands in her 80s because she did one every day.

  6. Hehe I have images of acrobatic grannies in my head now...I generally use nose or tongue for switches...Any time I use my tongue I think germs and feel sick. Habits are hard to break though. Tiger like throaty growl to Dolly for her method grurrrrr
